Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her family consisted of an aunt who worked as an housewife, and her father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick always enjoyed singing, dancing and putting on show puppets. At the age 6, McCormick won her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask whether the actress was keen to work in showbusiness. McCormick got her first big task when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It Up And It's Breaks at The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected from among 1500 children who had auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters on the new TV show The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed as newlyweds with the family of a blended couple. This show lasted for five years. In her autobiography Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick revealed that during the fifth season of the show, she almost lost her virginity to her screen brother and co-star Barry Williams. He was 19. She was just 16. She told me that it could be possible, however it was never the best timing.
